Were there non-branded versions of Sigwalt Chicago #11?

I recently acquired what looks like a Sigwalt Chicago #11, but the graphics don’t match images that I have seen on other Sigwalt’s. There are no markings (brand, serial numbers, etc..) that I can find to identify the maker. I will start to clean it up. He bought it from his school when he was 10 for $1, and made money printing tickets to plays and events at the highschool. That was 1940, so I think it pre-dates Sigwalt selling to Sears. My understanding is the Chicago was popular in schools given the cost at the time, but I have also read that novelty companies may have sold knock-offs. Any help in tracking down the origins would be appreciated. I have two rollers, but they are rotten…I’ll keep them for display though. It is not allowing me to attach a picture for some reason.

It looks like a Chicago No. 11 but it might be a Boston No. 11. I am not expert though. I just have seen some pictures somewhere.
