Book press identification

Hello,
I bought this book press several days ago and am wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what it is. The only marking seems to be a very small tag which may read “3”. I believe the entire press was originally grey. The dimensions are roughly 25x15 inches, with about 9 inches daylight. I can assure you it is VERY heavy!

Thank you,
Emeline

With a 9” opening, you obviously have a bookbinding press. There were a veritable plethora of copy press and bookbinding press manufacturers in the late 19th/early 20th centuries and it is almost impossible to identify any specific manufacturer.

Stylistically your press appears to be mid-20th century. I have a 19th century copy press about that size in my own collection.
