Hot foil stamping presses preference??

Hi all - I’m looking into getting a hot foil machine . Has any one used one of these or similar? There are obvious advantages for the newer models, more consistent heat… but smaller heat plate size. I will be doing mostly polymer plates, and printing line art illustrations with some type, small run editions 150-500 pieces.
I’m a little concerned about locking in brass type with the polymer, will the older models work for this? any thoughts on this subject will be helpful- Timothy
