I just had 3 rollers recovered in rubber for my Heidi windmill. The problem I’m having is there’s quite a bit of black coloring that is leaching out. I can eventually get them clean enough for color work- The point is, they are new, and I’m wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I’m a long time letterpress printer, and wished I could still get composition. I’m done with poly rollers as they tend to melt after awhile. Who does your rubber rollers? (I’ve used lithoroll in the past-they were good but too expensive)

I make rollers all new only for letterpress normally cheaper then recovering. I am not sure what they are calling rubber it is kind of a generic name with many types and blends. nothing comes from the rubber tree any more. the days of composition rollers are pretty much gone.
