Hello lovelyduality,

I’m not sure how mobile you are, but if you can leg it up to the 905, we at the Richmond Hill Book Arts Guild would love to have you come visit. We’re a small group that meets nearly every Friday night. Our shop has a big C&P treadle platen, a Vandercook SP15, and a little Adana Eight-Five. We’re also very friendly and like to have BBQs and drinks. Hope to hear from you!

Hello,

I will look into the Richmond Hill Book Arts Guild.

Thanks!

I just walked past this place this morning: I’m looking forward to taking some classes there myself.

I actually spoke with Akemi during my search for letterpress courses and she’s unsure when she’ll be holding the next one. She mentioned having injured her wrist and it’s going to take some time before she can manage a press.

Another resource told me about Open Studio (http://www.openstudio.on.ca/) and it looks promising.

CBBAG (Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild) offers some letterpress printing classes. Their website and bulletin board also lists courses available at other schools.

Hi pdelice
Do you mean Richmond Hill, Ontario? If so, I would be interested in attending.

Margaret Lock does a nice workshop in Kingston Ontario.
