The Red Onion Press was founded as a project of a non-profit to promote letterpress and printmaking in North Georgia. In 2017 the shop was expanded and established in it’s own right as a teaching facility and a studio for area artists to learn and practice printmaking arts. The shop is also focused on press and printing restoration and book publishing. We have the capability to repair and restore both table top and floor model platen presses in our repair shop. We machine trucks and repair/replace parts for a variety of small presses. We also have the equipment to move presses in the Atlanta area.
