Putting new rollers onto a Gordon platen press

Hey everyone,

I am always dreading taking off and putting on rollers on my platen press. Do you have any tips to make this easier?! Any help you can divert my way is much appreciated T_T

There is no need to remove the rollers that I know. I have left the rollers on my 10x15 C&P without removing them for long periods—and I’ve had my press over 60 years—only when the rollers get in the way like scoring and the like, and of course, not on the ink plate.

BUT….always “park” the rollers on the rails in the middle of the press. DO NOT “park” them on the ink disk!!!!
