Mangle conversion - Broken wheel! :(
Hiya folks — I’ve optimistically bought a tabletop mangle off of Ebay to convert into a press - It’s arrived today and the wheel is broken, sadly.
Just wondering if anyone has had experience of repairing one? A friend recommended using Metal epoxy - anyone tried this stuff and have any thoughts? I’m not sure if its worth it, or if I should find a replacement for the wheel…..or (sadly) find a different mangle to convert.
any ideas/suggestions would be welcome. Photo of the broken wheel/handle attached. The ebay seller is giving me a full refund, so happy to spend a smidge, but would like a bit of advice on the direction to look.

If you have all the other pieces, any competent welder will be able to repair the wheel. Brazing is the usual method, but improvements in cast rod wire is successful as well. Failing that, fabricating a wooden insert and fastening it securely to the rim will prove a fix.
