Papercut64 This is the wrong oiler for a windmill, see picture below for the right style. It looks like a greasegun but is for oil. All the nipples on the windmill are for oil. The oil can can be used for the other oil points.
Actually both styles are useful on Heidelberg platens. The later oil “zerks” were on very late black ball presses and all red ball presses. Do NOT use grease on these oil fittings. Also, you will still need a conventional oil can to apply oil to the feeder arm bushings, the air pump shaft bushing and a host of other oil points on a Windmill.
@Frank Hemmings. Actually this is a great “oil can” to be used with the HB windmill. It has for the last 25 years been used along with my Y7 “oil gun”, as your picture shows. Y7.
I have been using a Goldenrod 707 oil can with an 8” flexible spout for over 25 years with great success.
