Paint type to refinish Golding / Vandy presses

Almost finished restoring a Golding, however, need to repaint the flywheel black and the trims gold. Does anyone have any idea what paint to use? I’d rather not use a primer to paint over the current finish. Also, where can I find a can of the Vandercook “stale-green” color paint to touch-up on worn areas?

Hi Edmond,

I used Rustoleum’s Smoke Gray on my SP-15 after seeing it recommended on the Vanderblog. It’s not an exact match, a little a bit too blue. Machine Gray goes more toward the ‘stale-green’ color, but was a bit too light.
