Albertus Magnus Press was founded by Brother Antoninus O.P. (a.k.a. William Everson), one of the leading letterpress printers of his generation, if not American history. After leaving the Western Dominican Province, he founded a second private press, Lime Kiln Press (1971-1981, Santa Cruz) through which he printed fine-arts editions of his poetry. Albertus Magnus Press produced several important works, including 72 pages of the earliest version of the “Novum Psalterium Pii XII” (1955).
