Profile

In 1920, Rollins was appointed Printer to Yale University, a post he held for nearly thirty years. He was responsible for the typographic design of Yale Press publications. Over sixty of his book designs were chosen for the American Institute of Graphic Arts’ (AIGA) Fifty Books of the Year exhibits.

Rollins built a house just outside of New Haven, CT, where he printed many broadsides and several books on his own handpress, At the Sign of the Chorobates.
