Heidelberg Windmill 13a sinlge phase fuse blowing

Hi,

Im having trouble with my new press.

It has a single phase motor with new switch box fitted for single phase. I connected it to a 13 amp ring main which has been tested and is ok. After the press has been on for 5-10 minutes (sometimes straight away) it either cuts out and needs a few minutes to be turned back on or blows the plug fuse.. The company i bought the press from have told me to hard wire a 15 amp socket to the press from the MCB (fuse board). I dont mind spending the £50 on cable and socket and plug ect but thought I’d check on here to see if anyone has had a similar problem. The motor was fitted to replace a 3 phase but wasn’t new. The Switch box is single phase. Im not running it on impression when it cuts out, it seems to quite happily turn the belt.

Look on the motor. The plate should state the amps pulled by the motor.
In the U.S. we Colonists usually hook up to 30 amps and run #10 wire to the machine.
