Adana HS/1 lay pins

I’ve been tidying up a pre 1940 HS/1 with the 10inch sheet steel lay bar. I presume the four holes are for lay pins. Does anybody know what the pins look like?

The two clamps that you have sitting at the top of your platen shouldn’t be there. Adana had (and Caslon probably still sells them) three metal spring clips to hold the packing (or tympan) in place. You can clearly see three notches on the plaetn, where they should be positioned. The press came with a metal ‘ruler’ that would be positioned on the platen and be fastened with two bolts and wing nuts under the platen. The two slots allows the user to move the ruler up and down. When you download the manual for the HS here on the site, you can see clear drawings on pp. 37 and 38. The packing was only held at the top with the three clips, at the bottom it was the sliding metal lay gauge that held everything down.
