Many years ago I picked up this C&P Pilot press, but it was lacking an operating lever. I had a local fabrication shop make a lever which has worked well for many years. I just found an old lever and hope to pick it up this evening.
For now, I suppose I have the only “black ball” pilot in existence. If I had known everyone’s preference, I would have used a Red Ball at the end of the lever. (Reference to dating Heidelberg Windmill presses)
I decided I would seek out a standard lever in order to give the press an original look, if anyone is looking for a lever and want a “modern” appearance, let me know.
