Lead Smelter Closing This Week Up Type Prices?

I told the Post-Dispatch reporter I would let her know if this closure would hurt printers who still use lead. Does anyone know?

With the growth in battery technology, the loss of primary lead refining capacity will probably lead to long term rises in price. However this pales in comparison to the price jumps in the tin market—namely because of ROS (sic) regulations in Europe (and now pretty much global) banning lead content in electronic solder—-thus requiring use of all tin solders.

Bullet casters will cause a short term spike in values, as they believe this is part of a gun-control initiative. Expect long term prices of type metal to probably double in the next 10 years.
