I am wanting to purchase this blackball. Can anyone tell me from the photos if it’s in god shape?

Just a total guess but:
If you’re close enough to consider buying it, maybe arrange with the seller to take a first hand look at it?

They said that it runs great. I am no way near the press to go see it,

High resolution pictures & video of the press printing, plus printed work from the press would be a help, but there isn’t a good substitute for printing with the press to know if it’s ok.

“Runs great” really doesn’t mean much.

Appears currently set up for die-cutting. The press probably is set up for ball bearings on the rollers (from the style of belt guarding).

You should have a press serial number, an inventory (photos OK) of everything that comes with the press. Sneaky things that can make you miserable include: worn hoses, a central lube system that has been run dry (the handle will not ease back slowly while pushing oil) and bent/bunged up parts in the register system.

The current owner could be oblivious to all of these (defects), but you need to be. Some of this can slide if you are getting a screaming deal on the machine, but if you are pay mid to high market $2500 and up—before freight and setup, it’s probably worth your time to go see the machine before dropping that kind of money on it.
