Press identification.
Can anyone help me identify this mystery press. Some pretty distinctive gold leaf decoration and also gold painted sections at the base.
The chase size is approx 3.7” x 2.4”.
Thanks in advance.

Looks like a “Baltimorian” #10 by J.F.W. Dorman Company. 1885-1904
(Could also be a “Baltimore” #10 by Baumgarten & Co. 1895-1900 as they are practically identical).
Here’s a handy (though possibly incomplete and chronologically-challenged) guide I made a few years back for identifying this line of ornate tabletops.

Thanks Oprion, that’s really helpful, and the pictorial guides are great too.
I just need to see if I can track down an ink disk for it, in my upcoming visit stateside!
Cheers!
