Adrian Frutiger

The Times wrote a wonderful obituary this past weekend about Frutiger:

My favorite quote of his was: “Spoons and letters are tools. The first we need to ingest bodily nourishment from a bowl, the latter we need to ingest mental nourishment from a piece of paper.”

It seems only fitting that his death was first announced on Linotype’s website:

The most beautiful touching, caring and sensitive portrait of Adrian was made by his grandson, Christoph Frutiger, and can by found on www.swissfilms.ch

The title: The man of Black and White: Adrian Frutiger

Not to be missed!
