Kelsey vs Craftsmen 5x8 roller core conversion
I have an extra set of keyed trucks and crimped cores for my Craftsmen 5x8 press, and none for a Kelsey 5x8; Model P. Craftsmen cores (7/16”) are too large for the Kelsey hooks. I would like to machine the core ends to the correct diameter to fit the Kelsey hooks. Would appreciate if someone could provide me that measurement.
Kelsey has 3/8” core
Todd… I assumed the Kelsey cores would be between 5/16” and 3/8” diam from drill shanks that I rotated within the hooks, but unsure of best size to reduce the Craftsmen core ends to. “Thanks very much” for the confirmation.
