Polymer Backing Options?

Howdy all.

So after I use smaller photopolymer plates, I am struggling with getting them back on the blue backing back on so I can stire them for reuse. Anyone have a brilliant solution for adhering them to another type of backer sheet?

Always grateful.

Tony

Buy some of the blue backing from your plate maker, assuming that you don’t make your own plates

we currently use plastic binder dividers to store ours. really anything smooth that’s not paper should work, i think.

Good morning. Thanks friends for your time in response.

This also from the competent folks at Crown:

Tony,

Any sheet plastic would work, like acetate or polyester film, but not polyethylene unless it’s pretty thick.

The blue is ideal because it waffled.

Silicon impregnated sheet is cheap and easy to come by on rolls, just cut to size and then put your plate in a plastic bag for storage.

That should be silicone, not silicon. Just a slip of the keys, I’m sure.

If you use any pressure sensitive mailing labels, etc., you could use the backings from those as well. Find someone who uses such labels and have them keep the backing for you.
