Vandercook 219 AB Press

It’s time to part with my beloved Vandercook press. She’s been a great printing companion, but it’s time for her to move on to a new home. She’s a 219 adjustable bed press that was refurbished by Steve Robinson in 2011, and she’s a beautiful beast. She can print posters or business cards with equal grace, gives a great deep impression for those who are into that sort of thing ;), and she comes with all the printing accouterments you will need to print and care for the press.

I’m about 10K into this press when you add up all of the equipment and the press itself, and I would like to come as close as possible to recouping my investment, but due to family circumstances, I’m motivated to sell. I’ll consider all offers and preference would go to someone who’s interested in keeping the press in place in the studio space in Oakland and taking over rental of the studio (as a tenant, not a sublease) because that would eliminate the need to move it and make it easier on both of us. If that interests you, I’d be willing to work with you on the price of the press.

If you’re new to printing, I can offer you printing lessons to get you going.

Check out the photos to see what’s included, and please feel free to ask any questions. If you’d like a detailed list of the equipment included with the press, or additional photos of anything, please let me know.

Here are additional photos because I couldn’t upload them all with the ad:

And you can see some examples of projects printed on this press:
