My Dad passed 22 years ago. His press has sat idle since in basement of home in Cherry Hill, NJ. My Mom is now 91 and needs to move into senior assisted living facility. I want to give away the press and all related stuff (5 type chests, etc.). It will be somewhat challenging to extract — there is a double door entrance that opens from backyard and steps down to the cellar. Mom says a crain like device lowered it in 1965. I assume someone skilled in taking presses apart would also be required. I am willing to work with interested parties, however, I live in Greenville, SC but do make week+ visits occasionally. Alternatively, I will need to discard the press, so, if you know of a reliable firm that can do this work in the greater Philly area, I would appreciate the name of the firm.
