San Francisco printing supplies (etc.) estate sale

UPDATE: I stopped by this today and one person purchased almost all the print supplies (!!!) so if that’s what you were after, alas! But there’s lots of other random stuff to poke through, and books will be available next weekend…

Hello SF Bay Area printers, an old-time San Francisco printer is in hospice and his friends are organizing an estate sale to raise money to keep him housed and cared for. There aren’t any presses for sale that I’m aware of, but there is a lovely Hamilton type cabinet, lots and lots of type cases (both CA job and Yankee), some cool cuts, accessories like pica poles and composing sticks, some unused fonts in their wrappers, loupes, micrometers, etc. etc.

There will also be lots of good instructional books for sale next weekend (they are dividing the sale up, this weekend is printing and type and other tools, next weekend is books, magazines, and household items).

In addition to the letterpress and printing-related items, he has a large collection of gorgeous antique oil lamps, mounted deer heads/antlers, and vintage Playboy magazines…!

Some of his books include a large selection on California history and photography in addition to the printing and graphic design books. Here’s the ad from the dealer:
