Letterpress Concert Posters - Hatch Show Print

Hey everyone, I am new to the site and just wanted to post a link to a site I’m working on. I live in Nashville and collect Hatch Show Prints, so I’ve put a few on the web in a small gallery. If you are not familiar with Hatch, they are the oldest working letterpress print shop in the US. They do some amazing work, about 500-600 prints annually. I hope to update the site as I pickup prints from the shop. Looking forward to reading the forums and seeing more examples of this classic art.
Cheers,
Dave

Thank you! Very cool. Reb.

Tribune Show Print, in Earl Park, Indiana, has been producing the same types of posters for years. They still use wooden type and big old Babcock presses. They made posters for the Jackson 5ive and the Blues Brothers, among others, and still do a lot of political and concert posters.

Does Tribune Show Print have a website? I just tried to search and didn’t have any luck.

Dave, say hi to Jim for me. When I worked at Fossil I worked on a series of tin designs and an annual report at Hatch Show Print. I guess it’s been 13 years ago or so. He’s come to Dallas to speak at the DSVC a few times.

It’s a great working shop.

Also, feel free to share this link with others. More prints will be added in the coming weeks.

Thanks!

Did you design these while employed at Hatch Show Print or just a collector of their posters? Sorry but I find it odd your url has Hatch Show Print in it, hatchshowprint.carbonmade.com
