Thank you Briar Press
We are calling it quits. After 15 years and just over 200 press restorations … we are done. It has been a pleasure serving this community of printers. We have met so many fine folks both near and far. The love of “delighting our customers” has been the driver along with the nearly constant challenge of disassembly, media blasting, inspecting, repairing broken bits, fabricating missing parts, polishing parts, painting, reassembly, crating and shipping. Coaching the DIYers from afar has been rewarding too.
Thank you to all of our customers and suppliers.

T & T,
So sorry to hear this new, but I am sure it is a well deserved change of direction. You have done so much, shared so much information and brought the Joy of Printing to many of us.
thank you, good luck, in whatever you do next.

Sorry for the double post.
Thank you, Tom, for the help and advice with my press. I know you’ve mentored and shared wisdom with tons of people – beyond the presses you’ve restored.
I thank you for sharing the knowledge you’ve learned from your restorations. Your posts were genuine and always well thought out. For those who did not do their own mechanical restorations on table-top presses it was nice to know there was a business out there who they could trust to go to. You undoubtedly re-populated the printing community with numerous working presses that would have otherwise remained subpar, doorstops or shelf decorations. Good for you.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the community all these years, and for your recent help and assistance troubleshooting my recent restoration. I had a quick look at my emails and saw you had originally provided some advice back in fall 2010, so we had a good run!
Enjoy the well deserved rest!
