Congratulations on such success! Having restored, and used extensively, two Miehle pony-sized presses, I am fully aware of the difficulty, and exultation, of returning these presses to function. Your Whitlock shares many common features with the Miehle two-revolution presses, and, as Hatch Show Print still uses a Pony, you might reach out to them for additional information. Plus, they could recommend availability of tympan, tapes, etc. I highly recommend obtaining an Intertype and Ludlow machine as well. Then you are off to the races in producing your newspaper! :o)
How lucky are you to have such a brilliant project to work on.I have fond memories of working on Miehles, single colour, 2 colour and perfecting presses. As an apprentice I even helped build a new press around 1967 which I ran for a couple of years. I still have the manual for both the miehle and the centurette (a light weight version of the miehle.)
