I’m looking to sell my Espresso Book Machine, previously owned by the Harvard Book Store in Cambridge, MA. After acquiring it post-retirement, I’ve realized I don’t have the space to utilize its potential for a print-on-demand business, especially in a college town.
This EBM is perfect for creating artist books and short runs. It’s also versatile; for example, the Cincinnati library generates revenue by printing blank lined journals featuring images from their archives. If you’re a small book publisher, this could be your ideal investment!
Retail prices for these machines range from $100k to $300k. This is the second model and includes a Mac Mini and screen for operation. I also have a Sharp commercial printer for the text block, designed for a Xerox digital press (twice as fast at 100 pages per minute, while the Sharp operates at 40 pages per minute). Please note that you’ll need your own cover printer (a decent Canon or Epson photo printer will work).
I’m open to selling or trading. I’m interested in a risograph, a perfect binding machine, and a large block cutter as I plan to part with this setup.
For inquiries, please text me before calling at 617-344-4171 (Alters LLC).
