Typeface identification
Marked Chicago Type Foundry. Pinmark circle with 22 in center
I’m guessing early 1900s. See images below.

Gothics can be difficult to identify precisely, but since you provided the pinmark info with the foundry name, it made it much easier. This is probably Gothic Italic No. 4 as shown in the 1893 Chicago Type Foundry catalog (see linked page). I believe the 1893 catalog was the last one under the Chicago Type Foundry name.
