Identifying a typecase layout
Hello! I bought this typecase (at least I think it’s a typecase) from a thrift store, but I don’t know what the layout is. I looked at the Typecase Index but so far I can’t find a matching layout. Does anyone have an idea?

Looks a bit deep for a typecase - probably purpose made for displaying curios. Now, whether or not it can be USED as a type case will depend on whether or not the individual cubes measure more than 1” x 1” inside (the minimum size required to lay a type sort on its side)
.
Thanks - it’s 1.5” deep and the smallest cubes are 2”x2”. I counted 49 cubbies
My suggestion would be to put more partitions in so that all of the compartments are the size of the smallest ones. This would give you an 8 X 9 layout. Then block off one vertical row so that you have a 7 X 9 layout, with 7 across and 9 vertically. Almost all cap cases are 7 across so that you would not have to learn a new case layout for this one case.
