Hamilton Case Labels
Hi — Does anyone know where I could get 20mil clear mylar to replace the (yellowed) label covers on my Hamilton type cases? Didn’t think it’d be that hard to find but I’m striking out on Amazon, Dick Blick, Tekro, etc. Thanks!

I used this mylar and then cut to size.
I’ve used Duralar (I think it came from Blick but it’s very old) which is thinner than the original stuff, but works just fine. If you want something thicker, you could repurpose those clear stationary card boxes and just cut to size.
The type case labels at the Nickel Plate Press are heat-seal laminated. Double-side 5 mil lamination.

Oh, I like that laminated idea. I make my own covers from mylar but your idea is much better. I’ve even got a little laminator. Adhesive laminate can be found at most big box stores.
