Favorite Projects

Hey everyone, Robyn here. I would love to start a weekly or bi-weekly thread of your latest projects or any cool work you’ve been able to print recently. Feel free to share in the comments!

I haven’t touched printing in a bit really. Or I should say, I haven’t had time to print. However, I have been moving my print shop slowly to my basement. Just got my new to me 8x12 C&P set up down there. Next up is 2 more cabinets, a galley cabinet, and 3 turtles. I’ll save the perforator and 10x15 for last I think.

And lovely idea for a weekly thread/recap on projects. Thankyou Robyn.

This sounds great, looking at work from a global perspective. I’m in.

Fun! (Hi, all!)

My most recent print project used a historical illustration of “a Luddite general” I lasercut onto a bamboo Ikea cutting board. I left most of the bamboo effect in the print rather than masking it all out, as I liked how it looked. (You can see I was in my feels about AI hype in higher ed…)

I’ve also been working on learning to fabricate movable type with various materials (latest: 120pt Bernhard Gothic test for reprinting a remixed old ATF ad), toward eventually designing my own type and exploring non-Latin type.

Looking forward to seeing folks’ work!

(I share mine regularly on literaturegeek.bsky.social and https://www.instagram.com/literature__geek, for folks on either—would be interested in hearing handles for folks who likewise share letterpress work regularly on social media.)
