I’m on the struggle bus over here - trying to find 8 1/2 x 11 size paper for a 2 color print project. I need something nice but affordable because the run is over 1000 pieces. I can’t seem to find anything even near the quality of Lettra for a good price. Has anybody hit the jackpot with paper and would like to share?
Some of the larger paper distributors in the US have retail stores in many cities - if you’re near such a city you could visit a paper store and see what they stock. Many commercial papers are available in heavier weights like 80 lb text and 65lb cover weights in many colors and shades of white, and at moderate prices, but they will be various cut sizes, not deckle edged.
I assume with mentioning Lettra, you’re going for deep impression? If so I can’t recommend anything. Easiest option is buy large sheets and cut them down.
If you don’t need much impression at all, I’d recommend Mohawk Superfine papers. I frequently use the cover weights and have been quite happy with them.
