Hello Briar Press community —
I’m based in the New York Capital Region and am actively seeking a Chandler & Price 8×12 or 10×15 platen press in solid, working condition (or close to it). I’m happy to consider presses needing light restoration. If you have a press that is will require long distance shipping (100+ miles), I am happy to pay to ship, but would appreciate shipping quotes/assistance as I have not gone through the process of shipping a letterpress before.
In addition, because I’m new to letterpress and working toward building a small stationery and letterpress business, I would love to connect with an experienced printer who might be open to mentorship, guidance, or occasional studio help. I’m eager to learn the craft properly, safely, and contribute to letterpress communities — I’m happy to trade labor, assistance, or fair compensation for knowledge and time.
I’m local to the Capital Region but open to shipping, as I said, if the fit is right.
