Vintage Escher Wyss Industrial Gear & Rack Assembly – Swiss

For sale is a rare, precision-engineered mechanical adjustment assembly from the renowned Swiss manufacturer Escher Wyss. This set features the hallmark “Three Interlocking Rings” and represents the pinnacle of mid-century industrial durability.
Originally part of a large-scale stroke or feed adjustment system (likely from a paper mill or industrial printing press), these components are ideal for a professional restoration or as the functional base for a high-end industrial “crank-adjust” table.
Included Components:
Main Drive Gear & Linkage (Casting No. S 1649/36): A heavy-duty primary gear assembly with an integrated steel linkage arm and mounting plate.
Two (2) Pinion Drive Housings (Casting Nos. SB 0607 / 05 006 007): Matching cast-iron gearboxes designed to drive linear racks.
Two (2) Linear Gear Racks: Specifically matched to the pinion drive units for smooth, precise travel.
Linkage Hardware: Includes original pins, bushings, and the heavy-duty lever arm.
Condition:
Excellent vintage industrial condition. The cast iron is structurally sound with no cracks or chips. Gear teeth show minimal wear, and the factory casting numbers and Swiss logos are crisp and legible. Parts are currently in “as-found” condition with a light, authentic patina.
