There are three Heidelberg windmills just north of Birmingham that are in danger because a building has been sold. One of the presses was used (for die cutting but it has rollers) as recently as a month ago. I do not know the condition of the other two, they were purchased in case repairs were needed on the first press but none were ever necessary. These presses are free to a good home, but if they aren’t moved out in a couple of weeks (from today, July 6) they will likely be scrapped. Any inquiries can be sent to Jim and Vickie at Lithoplate & Negative in Birmingham. There is forklift on site that might be available to help someone load out depending on timing. I hate to let presses like this go to scrap so I’m reaching out to folks I know.
