Join us August 15, 2026 to set metal type and print cards on a tabletop press. This workshop from 10 AM to 2:30 PM introduces you to letterpress printing, from hand typesetting through printing on a tabletop C&P Pilot press or Kelsey 5×8. You can set a favorite quote, saying, or lyric in typefaces of your choice, and select dingbats and ornaments to add to the design. Each person can print a dozen cards. No experience necessary. Cost $120 per person.
Or you can go large format with wood type posters on Saturday, September 19, from 10 AM to 2:30 PM. You can design and compose your own poster, choosing vintage wood type, ornaments, and engravings from our collection. Up to four participants will share two presses, a Challenge 15 GP proof press, or a Line-O-Scribe sign press. We will ink by hand with brayers so that you can print with two colors at once.
Each person can print six or more copies of their poster as time allows,. No previous printing knowledge is needed, but experienced participants can jump ahead in their work. Cost: $120 per person.
