Ludlow dividers
Hi! I’m finally arranging the shop and ready to place type in the Ludlow. Every drawer has had the dividers removed by the previous owner. Yikes. Has anyone attempted making dividers and if so what was your process and what wood was useful? Thank you.
If the attached photo shows up… it will show a regular case that had the dividers stripped. They were replaced with 3/4” square stock, separated by thin strips of wood to keep the mats from pressing together. If you had access to a decent table saw and could find a quantity of 3/4” hardwood strips (ash or poplar), one could saw the strips so they could be latticed together to make dividers for a regular Ludlow case lay.
