I just got this Windmill, and I noticed that I can not keep the clutch engaged. I can’t find any adjustments to make the handle part sit higher so that it can rest on the plate. Any advice will be most helpful. I just thought I would ask before I build up the parts with weld, so that they would engage. Thank you.

Had one like that. We placed a sheet of 20# between the two surfaces and it was just enough to keep it engaged.
That’s all I can offer.
I took off the handle to see if flipping over the bar with the spring would raise it up. It did not change a thing.

The plate plate moves and is affected by the front guard plate (clutch will not engage) control cable and the vacuum cut off.
Is your vacuum tripping it? Sounds like you may have a vacuum leak, and it’s tripping off.
