Came across a strange press I would like to identify. It’s a small galley style press with 7 drawers of type in the bottom. The most odd thing is the type is all rubber. It has a grooved plate for mounting the fonts or graphics. I would assume the ink would be rolled on, then the paper placed on top and the wheel is run across it to transfer the image.
The press measures approximately 17 1/2” long x 9 3/4” wide. The rolling wheel measures 6 7/8” across. There are no manufacturer markings, other than just the number 3421 on the surface of the bed. The handle on the wheel is wooden. Any ideas what this may be?
