What is this tool?
This item is being included with a letterpress purchase I have made but I have no idea what it is? Any thoughts?

It is a Poco proof press. Depending on the size of the bed, it is either a Number 0 or larger.
Thank you! After having a name I found some images of them including one here on BriarPress but none of them have that strange metal thing on the top - do you know what the piece is?
That is so cool - I have never tried one of these - that is going to be super fun!
The plate on top is for rolling out ink with a hand brayer and supporting the brayer while printing.
