Impression Paper Plate Choice

hello,

i’m a total beginner and sadly no printer. but i want to print my businesscards with this great impression of the letters.
here some examples:

i am in austria/europe and here the letterpressing is not that popular. i found a heidelberg i can print on and a photopolymer platemaker. they are not sure if the plate will resist for this effect.

i think i found out that with the crane lettra 110lb it should solve the problem because the paper is very soft.
to my questions:

1. what do i have to consider for the photopolymerplate that it resists the pressure and how do i find out if it works (before testing :))
2. does anybody know an european paper similar to the lettra (as beautiful) and with wich i can receive the same great impression effect?
3. any suggestions for getting the lettra the cheapest way in europe/austria?
4. which lettra do i need? i dont understand parent/cover sheet.

thanks for you help!

dear Haens, letterpress is as popular in Europe as it is in the USA, but you should spend some time checking things out. First class paper and all other supplies can be found in France, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands. There are plenty of suppliers around. Typefoundries still function in Barcelona and in Frankfurt, good second-hand type is still for in Germany. Check out some of my earlier entries and those of Jens from Denmark. If you want to send me an e-mail, I’ll send you a list of useful addresses. best, Thomas
