Seeking information about a press at Harold Warp Pioneer Village

I am seeking information about any hand press that might be in the printshop at Harold Warp Pioneer Village in Minden, NE. It is my understanding that there is, or was, a wooden hand press there and I need information about it, but I have been unable to get a response from the museum. If there is anyone here who lives near this museum in central Nebraska, or who has visited the printshop there and could tell me about the presses, or has a contact who could do so that information, and photos if possible, would be very much appreciated.

Hi, Paul,

Thanks a lot! One of the problems with assembling a database from lists collected by word of mouth by four different people is the erratic nature of some of the data. I’m guessing that the Taylor was the hand press that became a “common press” in the game of Post Office.

Maybe some day I can make it there and a few other obscure museum collections and get the data straight. Meanwhile, with help from folks like you, it’s happening slowly.

Best, Bob
