Issue for PC users: image size buttons are not aligned

Buttons linking to different images on the following page display in a cascading row instead of a straight one:

The image below shows what I’m aiming for.

Eric,
The problem doesn’t occur in Firefox ver. 1.5 under Win XP Pro.

However, I am having the problem with IE 6.0.2. It might also be described as stepped; there are also examples of sidebars crossing over to the other text. I assume it’s a problem that IE has with rendering your HTML because I found similar problems with other parts of the menu on the site (welcome, Forums, etc.).

(I don’t know a way to insert directly but will try below)

Don’t know if this is appropriate use, but we seem to be online at the same time, so hi Paul!

I wonder aloud if there is live chat proposed for this site eventually.

Updated. Try adding the attribute:

display: inline;

to the css page that is being used for the list item section (li). That should fix it.

I think it’s the section labled:

ul.menu li

but it could be the section in the CSS labeled

.item-list ul li

but I’m not 100% sure. Just a thought.

display: inline; should make list items display horizontally.

Thanks dp, I’ll give that a try —

And thank you, Paul, for uploading an image. (There’s no way to add images to replies here, only to initial posts, so the flickr link is great.) What’s that brown bar I see at the top? Some part of the browser or of the site?

Brown…. It’s the color of the Briar Press menu on my screen. (Sorry if that sounds like a commercial.) ;-)

Check out the “Welcome” screen where you can see it unclipped.

Huh. On your welcome screen image it looks gray to me, but on the press image page it looks a lot lighter. Interesting. We’re talking about the color across the top that runs down the right side of the page and across the bottom, yes?

I didn’t notice your other screen images until now. Very helpful. I can see a bunch of nasty things happening.

>We’re talking about the color across the top that runs down the right side of the page and across the bottom, yes?<

Yes. The color border.
