The Adventure We call ‘Type’, is a very nice documentary about the Imprimerie nationale, in Paris. 38 minutes long, the DVD, in German, French and English, shows among many other things, the strongroom where the original matrices of the Garamond typefaces are being held. Hello Thomas,

Is it okay to write to them in English or French? My German is nonexistent. Also, I want to make sure I have the title of the film right. Is it listed as “Schrift ist ein Abenteuer”?

I think that writing in English should be OK. The DVD has got the title in the three different languages: Schrift ist ein Abenteuer, L’écriture est une aventure, The Adventure We call ‘Type’. The price is 15 € (euros), plus postage.

I really recommend the film, saw it a few weeks ago. I hope I visit l’imprimerie at some day.
