Can Anyone recognize this Border or Dingbat?

I’m such a newbie. I’m hoping that someone can Identify this Border or Repeated Dingbat? I need a small quantity of this as letterpress type, but just can’t find it easily. The sample was printed in 1930. Help! Help!!

It was printed as a Fill pattern on a Bookplate from 1933. You can see that it is actually half of the design. It seems like it should have been a border, just used as a fill.

It is known as coupon border. All the Monotype foundries sold handifonts of it, but the exact elements varied from foundry to foundry, different corner pieces, etc.; there were even two-color versions. M&H type still sells their handifont (though I can’t tell you the number offhand, the pdf catalog can be downloaded), perhaps Quaker does too.

A Close Match is in the M&H Catalog as Number 648 but has too many Flourishes in the center. It is listed as an ornament

It’s as though 30% were shaved off on one side. Was this done in the past to Shave it narrower? The Quaker catalog is not online, however, I did call for one. Any other ideas for a source? VERY fussy Client!!

take out the special characters, like & and .

make sure your files are “internet ready” by avoiding fancy tricks like spaces in the titles, capitalization, etc.
