Very interesting. I will have to look into adding this to my cutter.
I have a 19” Challenge that is a little newer than this one (but not by much) and it has this lock as a built-in factory feature. Still, even with the lock I keep a piece of wooden furniture under the blade at all times so the blade can’t come down all the way by accident.
