Roller Arm Assembly Removal

Ok, here goes another attempt to get the press ( 10x15 NS C&P ) through a 36 inch door. Someone suggested removing name plate to drop the roller arms, that brings it down to about 38”. The roller arm assembly itself looks pretty straight forward to take apart. I took off the top of the roller arm to see if there were bearings etc in there, just a shaft. Does anyone know of any pitfalls I should be wary of removing the rest, it looks pretty straight forward and other than not dropping and breaking something I can’t see why this would be a big job.

Easy enough to do and fairly easy to put back, but it shouldn’t be necessary.

Close the press and take off the delivery and feed tables. Strap the press closed and it should go through a 36” door sideways. It may take a bit of jockeying, but on a pallet jack it should be quite simple.

The only way I don’t see this working if the doorway is deeper (that is stays narrow for a long way) than any doorway I’ve run into.

Also door frames come off fairly easily and go back without much trouble. That could give you a couple of inches.
