you can use any solvent. if you have the felt kind just soak and blow out with compressed air. if you have the hard, brown, cylinder type wash, then blow from inside out. frequency depends on usage and environment. high volume, dusty, or use of spray powder, clean every 90 days. otherwise up to once a year. you cannot keep them too clean, so as often as you want. were latex gloves or similar as this usually is a very dirty job
