Complete Guess, but possibly pointer/stepping stone to some good info, follows thus:- interim stage between Gestener Duplicator, and Gestilith Litho proper??? I.E. wrap around original image medium, produced from special format Typewriter. and Hand Kranked.!!!
Pure Guesses but perhaps, access The film, MAX MANUS *Man Of War* Swedish resistance W W II ?? lurking in the Background and part of the story, perhaps little extra clues.!!!
Apologies for rubbish, but may start the ball rolling???

All those different cylinder segments suggest it is used much like a Multigraph. Grooved segment would hold special foundry type, solid segments for curved or rubber plates. It has a surface inking system, so it isn’t a stencil machine, but there is that set of spools that might be for doing fake typewriting. (You laser-era kids wouldn’t understand this, but at one time marketers considered a typewritten piece to be more personal than a page of printed type.)
Dave, the ink-in-tubes guy, knows more about Multigraphs than anyone else.
